From Sweden to Fountain Hills
Café Bliss is more than a café. It is the newest chapter in a family adventure that began in Sweden more than thirty years ago—and found a happy new home in the Arizona desert.

Entrepreneurship has always been part of our family. Each new chapter brought something different, but food, creativity and connecting with people have been at the heart of it all.
When Jeff, an American, moved to Sweden, he did not yet speak the language. To create a working life together, Malin and Jeff opened a café and catering company. That first step grew into more cafés, a large retail store and a merchandising company that they ran for many years.
After many years in Sweden, the family was ready for something new. They packed up and moved toward sunshine, blue skies and the beauty of Arizona. In Fountain Hills, they found a community and a place that quickly felt like home.
With entrepreneurship still very much in the family—and the next generation sharing that same spirit—it was time to create again: a blissful, family-owned café with a little Swedish touch, right in the middle of the desert.
Meet the family
On any given day, there is a good chance you will meet someone from the family at Café Bliss.
Malin is the owner and the heart behind Café Bliss. Her husband Jeff has shared the entrepreneurial journey from the very beginning—from their first café in Sweden to this sunny new chapter in Fountain Hills.
Their oldest son, Axel, has been part of Café Bliss since opening day and continues to be an important part of the café today.
Their youngest son, Victor, works at the café on and off whenever he is not out traveling the world.
Their middle son, Oscar, lives in Sweden with his wife Maja and their two young boys, Mason and Morris. They visit Arizona regularly, and when they do, you may find them all spending time with the family at Café Bliss.
A Swedish touch in the desert
Café Bliss was created to share good food, Swedish traditions and genuine connection with the wonderful people of Fountain Hills. We hope every visit feels cheerful, welcoming and just a little bit special.
